Rename domlog during scheduled maintenance

In my experience it takes quite a bit of time to compact a domlog (or any database) that is quite a few gig - so having to take the website down for that amount of time seems unreasonable to me, too.

I've had the same issue with Compact - I just run a 'cleanup' agent monthly, and I don't worry about the file size.

Vin, if you NEED to reduce the size, something you might try is to rename domlog.nsf when you perform any scheduled maintenance on the website. Then the server will re-create it at a much smaller size. The you could actually archive off monthly domlogs (hey - i should do that, too!)
